Job Summary

The BDC Consultant is responsible for driving sales and service appointments through proactive communication with customers via phone, email, and text. This role focuses on building rapport, addressing inquiries, and effectively scheduling appointments to support the dealership’s sales and service goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to all inbound sales and service inquiries received via phone, email, and online forms.
• Make outbound calls to follow up on sales leads, schedule service appointments, and reconnect with existing customers.
• Utilize CRM software to meticulously log all customer interactions, update customer information, and track appointment statuses.
• Qualify customer needs and interests to effectively direct them to the appropriate sales or service department.
• Provide accurate information about vehicle inventory, pricing, promotions, and service offerings.
• Overcome customer objections and rejections by highlighting value and benefits.
• Confirm and reschedule appointments as needed, sending timely reminders to customers.
• Collaborate closely with sales and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly appointment setting and customer contact goals.
• Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, dealership promotions, and industry trends.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, call center, or BDC role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build rapport and influence customers over the phone and via digital channels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with CRM software and standard office applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance targets.
• Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
