Woodard & Curran is seeking an exceptional executive to lead our Consulting Division, an enterprise‑wide role at the intersection of environmental services, professional engineering, technical leadership, and operational excellence.

This leader will shape the future of our consulting businesses, strengthen integrated service delivery, and elevate performance across our water, environmental, and remediation practices.

This is a rare opportunity for a visionary, execution‑oriented leader to influence how we deliver technically rigorous, client‑focused solutions while advancing our mission and expanding our impact across the markets and communities we serve. Office location is flexible and a virtual work arrangement can be accommodated. Travel up to 25%.

About the Role As the Consulting Division Leader, you will serve as the architect of a unified, high‑performing environmental consulting organization.

You will drive operational integration across diverse consulting disciplines, ensure consistent technical and project delivery excellence, and champion the systems, talent, and frameworks that enable scale, predictability, and innovation.

Partnering closely with executive leadership, you will help translate strategy into execution—guiding long‑range planning, annual business plans, and enterprise initiatives that support sustainable growth, technical leadership, and client success.

This is a highly visible role requiring strategic insight, deep understanding of environmental and engineering consulting, strong project management discipline, and an inspiring leadership presence. Why Woodard & Curran?

Your leadership will directly influence the success of our consulting businesses and strengthen our ability to deliver positive, measurable impact across communities nationwide. What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran? Shape and execute a cohesive consulting strategy aligned with enterprise priorities and long term market opportunities.

Partner across divisions—including Integrated Solutions, O&M, and Corporate Services—to support seamless, turnkey project delivery. Lead consulting planning efforts, annual operating plans, and executive level reporting. Build and implement standardized systems, processes, and tools that elevate delivery quality and operational predictability.

Oversee the Project Management Office to ensure effective project execution, resource management, financial performance, and compliance. Foster agility and operational discipline across multiple consulting businesses. Partner with Talent Management to attract, engage, and retain exceptional consulting talent.

Build a culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, connection, and high performance. Champion strong client relationships, integrated delivery approaches, and a culture of continuous improvement.

What will you need to succeed? 20+ years of industry experience, including at least 15 in senior operations leadership within environmental or engineering consulting. Demonstrated success leading large, matrixed organizations (1,000+ employees a plus).

A proven ability to design and scale operational systems, drive financial performance, and enhance delivery quality. Exceptional leadership capabilities—visionary, decisive, courageous, and deeply collaborative. Strong project management acumen, business judgement, and the ability to balance enterprise standards with business specific needs.

Outstanding communication, relationship building, and change leadership skills. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred. Salary Range $270,000 - $350,000 a year. Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and candidate location.

This role has the option for remote work, and this position’s anticipated pay range is provided; the final exempt salary will depend on experience level and consider a percentage‑based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working.

Geographic differentials recognize and reflect the cost of labor differences between geographic markets. Mutual Dispute Resolution (MDR) As part of our commitment to a fair and respectful workplace, Woodard & Curran uses a Mutual Dispute Resolution (MDR) to help resolve most employment‑related concerns efficiently and consistently.

What this means MDR applies to both you and the Company. Most workplace‑related disputes are resolved through binding arbitration, rather than court proceedings. Certain exceptions are outlined in the full agreement. If you are offered a position with Woodard & Curran, you will be asked to review and sign the MDR as part of your offer packet.

Time away from work Observed holidays: Choose up to 8 holidays to observe annually. Vacation: Accrued based on years of experience and calculated on hours worked. Sick time: Paid sick time for non‑work‑related illness or injury. Parental leave: Up to 80 hours of Paid Parental Leave for child bonding.
