D365 F&O Lead Finance Functional Consultant – Contract

Location: South of Cologne, Germany

Contract: Initial 6 months, with a long-term programme expected to run for several years

The Role

I’m looking for an experienced D365 F&O Lead Finance Functional Consultant to support a major international manufacturing business with a multi-country Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management rollout.

This is an initial 6-month day rate contract, with the programme expected to continue for the next couple of years.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and lead customer workshops, product demonstrations and solution fitment sessions.
• Prepare fit/gap analysis and functional design documentation for Finance requirements.
• Configure D365 F&O Finance modules, including localisation and taxation requirements.
• Lead solution design and data model design for Finance.
• Support data mapping, data migration and integration design.
• Participate in show-and-tell sessions, functional testing and UAT.
• Deliver training to key users and support cutover planning.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Finance modules.
• Extensive knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Costing and related Finance functionality.
• Experience delivering at least two Finance implementations across Dynamics 365 F&O and AX 2012, including at least one D365 F&O implementation.
• Strong requirements gathering, solution design and documentation skills.
• Understanding of solution architecture, interfaces and third-party integrations.
• Experience working in Agile environments and delivering to tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
