Health And Safety Consultant

€500 per day or €65k salaried. One site in Düsseldorf. A client-side SiGeKo appointment on a logistics refurbishment running through to 2029.

Take ownership of site safety coordination, work directly with the general contractor and have the authority to challenge unsafe practices. This is a hands-on role for an experienced SiGeKo who knows how to maintain standards without creating unnecessary conflict.

The opportunity

DARA People is recruiting a qualified Sicherheits- und Gesundheitsschutzkoordinator (SiGeKo) to represent the client on a refurbishment project at an existing logistics facility, approximately 30 minutes from Düsseldorf Airport.

What you'll be doing:

• Act as the client's formally appointed SiGeKo.
• Conduct daily inspections, identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Monitor and challenge the general contractor's H&S performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable German construction safety requirements.
• Complete weekly online reporting and client deliverables.
• Build productive contractor relationships while maintaining firm safety standards.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years' construction H&S / CDM coordination experience.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of German construction H&S regulations.
• Confidence to challenge unsafe working practices and hold contractors accountable.
• Existing right to work in Germany - no sponsorship available.

Working arrangements

• €500/day freelance or €65,000/year salaried.
• Full-time, on-site, Monday to Friday.
• Immediate start, with the project scheduled to finish 30 June 2029.
