Interim Pharmaceutical Crystallization & Solid-State Consultant (f/m/d)We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Crystallization & Solid-State Consultant to support a leading pharmaceutical organization in the review, optimization, and scale-up of small molecule crystallization and solid-state development activities.Key Responsibilities:Review and assess crystallization and co-crystal development activities performed by external development partners and CDMOs.Provide expert guidance on the development, optimization, and scale-up of robust pharmaceutical crystallization processes.Support troubleshooting activities related to crystal form selection, morphology, yield, and downstream processability.Advise on crystallization strategies, experimental design, process parameters, and analytical approaches.Assess scalability from laboratory to pilot and commercial manufacturing scale, identifying critical technical risks.Evaluate the impact of solid-state and particle properties on API processing and drug product performance.Provide independent technical recommendations and support strategic development decisions.Required Expertise:MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.Extensive industry experience in small molecule pharmaceutical crystallization, solid-state development, and/or particle engineering.Proven track record in the successful development and scale-up of crystallization processes.Strong expertise in pharmaceutical solid-state and particle characterization techniques.Experience with pharmaceutical co-crystals is highly desirable.Understanding of the relationship between API solid-state properties, downstream processing, and formulation performance.Previous experience working with or managing external CDMOs is an advantage.Knowledge of formulation development for poorly soluble small molecules is a plus.Contract: Freelance / InterimStart: ASAPDuration: at least 6 monthsWhere: Remote
