A well-established financial services concern with offices in Somerset West is seeking to employ an International Business Consultant. Reference: SW004730-AM-1
The International Business Consultant will be responsible for increasing sales across the company's product range, including various joint venture and co-branded initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities:
• Utilize financial services industry experience and skills to create and manage costs and contribute to the overall betterment of the firm.
• Be a highly organized self-starter who can work remotely and is confident in being judged by results.
• Involve extensive travel both in South Africa and abroad, with availability outside normal South African business hours as required.
• Be technically proficient in the benefits, application, and tax issues surrounding the use of company products in various jurisdictions.
• Market the services and products from the company and associated companies/JVs.
• Represent the Company and its brands in a professional and diligent manner.
• Create a business development plan and implement the strategy.
• Ensure that product sales meet all regulatory requirements.
• Work and build relationships with Life companies and International Investment houses.
• Develop new products.
• Attend and present at seminars and/or presentations.
• Gather market intelligence and understand competitor products.
• Obtain awareness and understanding of new markets in South Africa and greater Africa.
• Liaise with tax/legal advisers.
This will primarily be achieved by establishing relationships with financial advisers, accountants, and other professionals that may have a need for the products, as well as building and developing relationships with existing firms with whom the company has terms of business.
