Position SummaryThe Principal Solutions Consultant is a senior customer-facing leader responsible for driving strategic digital transformation initiatives across PTC's largest industrial customers.The Principal Solutions Consultant leads complex opportunities, develops strategic account roadmaps, drives technical wins and contributes significantly to PTC's growth in targeted enterprise accounts.The role combines executive consulting, solution architecture, industry expertise and technical leadership to help customers transform product development, engineering, manufacturing and service operations through Digital Thread and AI-enabled solutions.The successful candidate acts as a trusted advisor to Engineering, IT and Executive leadership teams while partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Professional Services and R&D.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Customer AdvisoryEngage with VP and C-level stakeholders at strategic accounts.Facilitate executive workshops and digital transformation assessments.Define multi-year business and technology roadmaps.Develop compelling business cases and ROI-based transformation strategies.Position PTC as a strategic partner for engineering and operational excellence.Digital Thread & Enterprise Architecture LeadershipDesign end-to-end Digital Thread architectures spanning:CAD / PLM / ALM / SLMMBSEManufacturingData & AI PlatformsGuide customers in application rationalization and target architecture decisions.Support integration strategies involving ERP, MES, Microsoft, SAP and engineering tool ecosystemsOpportunity Leadership & Technical Win OwnershipServe as technical lead for strategic and competitive opportunities.Lead benchmarks, proof-of-concepts, pilots and executive demonstrations.Develop win strategies against competitive platforms.Support RFI, RFP and executive proposal development.Drive technical closure and technical win achievementAI Transformation LeadershipLead customer discussions around AI strategy and adoption.Position PTC's AI vision across Creo+, Windchill+, Codebeamer+ and future AI services.Help customers establish governance, data foundations and adoption roadmaps.Define AI use cases along the engineering lifecycle.Support AI-enabled business transformation initiativesIndustry Thought LeadershipPresent at customer events and executive briefings.Act as a recognized industry expert for machinery, industrial equipment and manufacturing transformation initiatives.Develop industry-specific transformation narratives.Build reusable frameworks and best practices.Contribute to strategic GTM initiatives and industry messaging.Internal Leadership & MentoringMentor Solutions Consultants across the region.Coach teams on strategic opportunities and customer engagement.Share reusable assets, architecture patterns and best practices.Support onboarding and capability development of new consultants.Act as a regional SME for key solution domains.Preferred Expertise AreasCandidates should demonstrate expertise in several of the following domains:Artificial Intelligence for EngineeringComputer Aided Design (CAD)Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Mechanical Engineering and Electrical EngineeringEngineering and Manufacturing Data ManagementSoftware-Defined MachinesDigital ThreadExperience & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.10+ years within Solutions Consulting, Technical Presales, Consulting or Digital Transformation.Proven success leading complex enterprise sales cycles.Strong executive communication skills.Demonstrated capability to influence senior decision makers.Deep understanding of industrial product development processes.Ability to build trusted advisor relationships at enterprise scale.Life at PTC is about more than working with today’s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
