Remote Cybersecurity Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Cybersecurity Consultant to advise and support businesses in enhancing their security posture. You will be responsible for assessing client environments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending tailored security solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of current threats, regulatory requirements, and best practices across various industries. You will work independently and collaboratively with clients from your home office, delivering expert guidance and implementing effective security strategies to protect their assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments and risk analyses for clients.
• Develop strategic and tactical recommendations for improving client security controls and policies.
• Assist clients in implementing security solutions, including threat detection, incident response, and data protection.
• Provide expert advice on compliance with relevant security regulations (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a similar advisory role.
• Expert knowledge of various security domains, including network security, application security, and cloud security.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly valued.
