Remote Industrial Engineering Consultant

About the Role

Our client, a global leader in operational consulting, is seeking a highly experienced Remote Industrial Engineering Consultant to join their distributed team. This role is designed for an expert who can independently drive process improvements and strategic initiatives for a diverse portfolio of clients, all from the convenience of their own location. You will be responsible for diagnosing operational challenges, developing innovative solutions, and guiding clients through successful implementation phases, all while working virtually. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of various industrial engineering methodologies, and a proven ability to deliver results without direct supervision. This is a fully remote, project-based contractor role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of client operations, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction.
• Develop tailored process improvement strategies, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and supply chain optimization plans.
• Utilize advanced data analytics, simulation, and modeling techniques to support recommendations.
• Prepare detailed project proposals, reports, and presentations for client stakeholders.
• Lead virtual workshops and training sessions for client teams.
• Provide expert guidance and support throughout the implementation of recommended solutions.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client relationships effectively.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in industrial engineering.
• Foster a collaborative remote work environment with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• A PhD is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering consulting or senior in-house operational improvement roles.
• Proven expertise in a wide range of industrial engineering disciplines, including process optimization, supply chain management, facility layout, and ergonomics.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis software, simulation tools, and project management software.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels virtually.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently and deliver high-quality results in a remote setting.
• Experience working with diverse industries and client types.
• Must have reliable high-speed internet access and a dedicated home office setup.
