About the Role

Our client, a prominent recruitment consultancy, is seeking a skilled Remote Recruitment Consultant specializing in engineering disciplines to join their remote-first team, supporting clients that may operate within or have needs related to the Upington, Northern Cape region. This role involves managing the full recruitment cycle for various engineering roles, from sourcing niche talent to ensuring successful placements. You will be a key player in helping engineering firms find the specialized professionals they need to drive their projects and innovations. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, possesses strong sourcing capabilities, and thrives in an independent, remote work environment, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in engineering recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete recruitment process for engineering roles, including client engagement, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
• Utilize advanced sourcing techniques to identify and attract qualified candidates for diverse engineering specializations (e.g., mechanical, civil, electrical, process).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering professionals and hiring managers, understanding technical requirements and project needs.
• Conduct thorough candidate screenings and technical assessments to ensure alignment with client requirements and company culture.
• Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment progress in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Provide excellent service to both clients and candidates, ensuring a positive and efficient recruitment experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in recruitment, with a specialization in engineering sectors.
• Proven ability to source and recruit for a variety of engineering disciplines.
• Strong understanding of engineering terminology, industry standards, and the current talent market.
• Proficiency in using recruitment software, job boards, and social media for effective sourcing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fully remote setting.
