About the Role

Our client, a leading digital health platform dedicated to personalized wellness, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Nutritionist & Dietetic Consultant to join their fully remote team. This role is pivotal in developing and delivering evidence-based nutritional strategies and dietary plans to a diverse global clientele. You will leverage your expertise in nutritional science and counseling to guide individuals towards achieving optimal health outcomes through customized dietary interventions. As a remote-first organization, we prioritize asynchronous communication, digital collaboration tools, and a flexible work environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, possesses excellent virtual communication skills, and has a passion for leveraging technology to make high-quality nutritional guidance accessible.

You will play a key role in shaping our nutritional content, mentoring junior dietitians, and contributing to innovative digital health solutions from the comfort of your home, serving clients across Eastern Cape and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments using digital tools and client-provided data.
• Develop personalized meal plans and dietary recommendations tailored to individual health goals, medical conditions, and lifestyle preferences.
• Provide expert nutritional counseling and education via video consultations, email, and secure messaging platforms.
• Monitor client progress, providing ongoing support, adjustments, and motivation to ensure adherence and success.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
• Contribute to the development of evidence-based nutritional resources, articles, and educational materials for the platform.
• Stay current with the latest research and trends in nutrition, dietetics, and digital health.
• Mentor and guide junior nutritionists and dietitians within the team.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant professional and regulatory standards.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the strategic development of the nutrition department.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or equivalent professional credential is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in nutrition and dietetics, including clinical practice.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing personalized nutrition plans for various health conditions (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight management, gastrointestinal disorders).
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and other digital health tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is highly desirable.
