What is Luigi’s Box?
Darum lohnt es sich
About the role We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer Consultant to join our Integrations team, part of the Customer Experience department. You’re often the only person in the room who understands the full technical picture of our product, and the client’s team commits real development capacity based on your guidance.
What you’ll do • Advise before the solution is decided. • Join calls when the client doesn’t yet know whether to build the integration themselves or have us do it, and map their technical constraints, team capability, and business context to the right approach. • Lay out the trade‑offs honestly: speed, cost, maintenance, ownership, and risk.
Tech you’ll work with • REST APIs • JavaScript hands‑on (mainly around our DataLayer Collector) • HTML, CSS, and common front‑end frameworks at a strong reading and review level • JSON, XML, and CSV feeds • Browser DevTools, DataLayer, GA4 • GitHub, Jira, AWS, Grafana and our internal tooling • AI‑assisted work: GitHub Copilot, Claude, and agentic workflows built by our team.
Most of the code isn’t yours to write, but you’re comfortable getting hands‑on with JavaScript when needed. • Understanding of how modern web stacks fit together: SPAs, server‑side rendering, mobile apps, middleware, caching, and what each means for an integration design. • Consulting instinct: you advise honestly, recommend against what the client wants when it won’t serve them, and always bring a viable alternative. • Peer‑level developer communication: you earn the respect of the client’s tech leads, handle technical pushback with evidence, and explain trade‑offs to non‑technical stakeholders just as clearly. • Methodical debugging without direct access: hypotheses, evidence, isolation, and clean escalations.
What’s in it for you • Flexible working hours to help you create the perfect work‑life balance. • Hybrid & remote work options: You can work from our offices in Bratislava or Prague, fully remote, or a mix of both. • Regular company events and team‑building activities to stay connected. • A chance to be part of a growing, innovative company where you can help shape the future. • An inclusive global team that empowers and supports your needs. • A collaborative environment built on trust, transparency, and open communication. • A flat structure: Work with smaller, agile teams. • Paid time off & sick days. • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in the future.
Perks • Hardware contribution • A MultiSport card (CZ/SK only) or well‑being contribution • Self‑development allowance • Team breakfasts • Office refreshments • Parental benefits • Birthday surprise • And more!
Meet your team Luigi’s Box is a fast‑growing scale‑up in the booming SaaS industry, specializing in cutting‑edge solutions for site search & product discovery. With an international team of around 120 experts spanning 10+ countries, we bring deep expertise and passion to everything we do.
You’ll join the Integrations team within Customer Experience, working closely with the Project Consultants who handle the business side of the project. At Luigi’s Box, we’re transforming e-commerce with smarter, faster, and more personalized shopping experiences.
Our AI-powered search & discovery suite includes four main solutions, Search, Analytics, Recommender, and Product Listing, that empower over 4,000 online stores to help their customers find exactly what they’re looking for. Think big names like Notino, Benu, O2, Under Armour, and more.
We’re already working with half of the e-shops in the Czech and Slovak markets, and are growing fast in Poland, DACH, Benelux, and beyond. You’ll be the technical authority on client-led integrations: projects where the client’s own developers build the integration, and you make them successful.
This is a different job from writing the code yourself. You’re the client’s technical partner: you consult on the approach before implementation starts, help their developers when they get stuck, check what they built, and handle the go-live.
Your ownership starts before the contract is signed, at the pre-signature solutioning call, and you talk to both the client’s developers and their business side throughout. Expect roughly 30‑40% of your capacity on client calls and meetings; the rest of the communication runs mainly over email.
Often alongside Sales during pre‑sale or POC scoping, where your recommendation shapes the deal. • Watch running projects for drift: when the client’s developers start building a workaround for something we can solve on our side, you spot it, verify internally, and redirect them before they waste effort. • Design the integration architecture. • Own “how should this be built” for each client: which APIs, in what flow, with what identity and error handling, fitted to their stack (SPA frameworks, server‑side rendering, mobile apps, middleware, caching layers). • Work across the full Luigi’s Box API surface: Search, Autocomplete, Recommender, Assistant, Content Updates and Events APIs. • Review and validate what the client builds. • Read and review code you didn’t write: check the client’s implementation against our best practices and give concrete feedback developers act on.
Often you won’t see the code at all, just its outcome on the live site, so you’ll work backward from behavior: what’s rendered, what requests fire, what the data says, to pinpoint what their implementation is doing wrong. • Debug with limited access: form hypotheses, guide their developers through evidence gathering, and isolate whether an issue lives in our API, their implementation, or their data. • Specify what correct looks like for data and analytics: data structure, indexing, request payload, then validate the implementation end to end via DevTools and our internal tooling. • Get hands‑on where it makes sense: many client‑led integrations use our DataLayer collector, and you’ll troubleshoot and adjust its front‑end code yourself (DataLayer mapping, event configuration). • Catch issues at review time instead of after go‑live.
No integration of yours goes live without a validated outcome. • Own the client relationship and the momentum. • Run technical kickoffs, answer the client’s developers fast and precisely, and translate our documentation into guidance that fits their specific stack. • Keep projects moving when the delivery capacity belongs to someone else: clear next steps after every interaction, proactive follow‑up when the client goes quiet, and early flags when a timeline can’t hold. • Keep Jira reflecting reality so nobody has to chase you for status.
AI‑assisted implementation review and validation checks are part of daily delivery, and we keep building new ones.
What makes you a great fit Must haves • Language: Polish + English (written and spoken, both required at professional proficiency level). • Deep, hands‑on experience with REST APIs. • Strong code comprehension: you read JavaScript and front‑end patterns fluently, and give code‑level review feedback developers accept.
Confident use of Browser DevTools is essential here. • Ownership mindset: your projects don’t stall silently, risks get flagged early, and what’s yours gets delivered. • Genuine comfort with AI‑assisted work (GitHub Copilot, Claude).
Nice to have • Hands‑on experience with analytics tracking: DataLayer implementations and GA4. • Previous experience in a solutions engineering, technical consulting, or integration‑heavy role in SaaS. • Experience with e-commerce platforms such as IdoSell, Shoptet, Shopify, Magento, or PrestaShop. • Experience working alongside Sales on pre‑sale scoping or POCs.
Salary Base salary: up to 3,000 € monthly, depending on skills and experience. Quarterly bonus based on company and individual performance. Ready to join? Join Luigi’s Box and help us continue to shape the future of e‑commerce.
