Innovation & Solution Design Consultant - Payments

Permanent role at the front edge of payments: research and experiment with emerging technology, then turn what survives contact with reality into a designed, priced, buildable service. Part research, part architecture, part commercial judgment - and the last part is what makes it hard.

• Research and experiment with emerging technologies, tools and services relevant to payments and settlement
• Turn promising experiments into solution designs that an engineering team can build
• Advise on the functional, technical and commercial design of new products and services, including pricing
• Assess market trends, practices and available solutions across payments, trading, clearing, settlement and liquidity management
• Build and present demonstrators, then analyse honestly what they did and did not prove
• Contribute to harmonisation and standardisation work in payments and securities
• Support the design and assessment of policy and oversight frameworks, including how they are operationalised
• Deliver quantitative analysis of transaction data to support design and pricing decisions
• Advise on artificial intelligence adoption where it genuinely improves a payment service
