If you're the person colleagues come to with their Zendesk questions, and you've already found ways to automate parts of your own work just by digging into the tool, you're reading the right job offer!
About the company
My client is an award-winning Zendesk Premier Partner based in the Antwerp area. They've already reached #1 partner status for the EMEA region, and their next goal is to become #1 globally.
As they keep growing, they're opening up a new Zendesk Consultant position to support that.
Your role
You'll be the one turning a client's messy support setup into a working, well-configured Zendesk environment, and increasingly, into smart AI-powered workflows.
On a day-to-day basis :
- Once the sales team signs a new client, you join the first discovery call. From there, you're the one setting up Zendesk for them.
- You design and deploy Zendesk environments tailored to each client's customer experience strategy
- You build and optimise AI-driven automation within Zendesk
- You act as the go-to person internally on what Zendesk's AI tools can actually do
- You write up clear, practical recommendations for project leads and clients
- You keep up with new Zendesk features and work toward relevant certifications (e.g. Zendesk Support Admin Expert, paid by them)
- You share what you learn with the team and help improve how they work
Most of the job is remote, but expect occasional trips to client sites, events, or conferences.
Your profile
You have hands-on experience configuring and implementing Zendesk (or a comparable helpdesk/Customer Experience platform), and you're just as comfortable explaining a config choice to a client as building it.
Deep experience with AI automation is a plus, real curiosity about it matters more.
You're known for:
- Finding your own way through a technical roadblock instead of waiting for someone to hand you the answer
- Listening to what a client actually needs, not just what they ask for
- Bringing energy to a room, internal or client-facing
- Explaining complex configurations in plain terms
- Wanting to keep learning, and happy to pass that on to others
Must-haves
- Fluent in German and English
- Minimum 3 years' proven experience implementing/configuring Zendesk (or an equivalent platform)
- Open to travelling to client sites from time to time
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building real AI-driven automation (by real, I mean not simply using ChatGPT to ask a question ;-))
- Zendesk certifications (e.g. Support Admin Expert)
Why join them?
- Real ownership over how Zendesk and AI shape a client's customer experience strategy
- A scaling, ambitious company aiming to become the global #1 in their field
- Remote-first, with an HQ you can also work from in the Antwerp area
- A structured onboarding (90-day plan) and ongoing support for certifications
- Pay benchmarked on real market data, not guesswork. As a reference, the Belgian range runs roughly €60K–€90K gross/year depending on seniority (freelance rates available on request)
