For our client — a globally recognized technology company specializing in quantum-safe security and hardware root-of-trust solutions — we are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant / Advisor (m/f/d) – IoT & Embedded Security, based in Western NRW / Part-Time.

Our client is a mid-sized, specialized technology company and an internationally recognized leader in PUF (Physically Unclonable Function) technology and post-quantum cryptography. As a fabless semiconductor company, it designs its security chips in-house and partners with external foundries for production. Its proprietary architecture generates and stores cryptographic keys directly on-chip — without key injection or external key storage — a distinguishing advantage over conventional security approaches, and its expertise has helped shape international standards in this field. The technology is designed to protect connected devices, critical infrastructure, and enterprise systems against both current and future quantum-era security threats.

We are seeking a Senior Consultant / Advisor for a part-time or freelance engagement to lead a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) pilot project with a telecommunications provider. In this role, you will manage the project end-to-end, align stakeholders on both sides, drive momentum through consistent follow-up, and act as the key liaison between the customer’s team and our client’s international team.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Proof-of-Concept (PoC) pilot project with a telecommunications provider from initiation through completion
• Align and coordinate stakeholders across the customer’s organization and our client’s international team
• Drive project momentum through structured planning, regular follow-up, and clear milestone tracking
• Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between the customer’s technical/business teams and our client’s international team
• Coordinate technical discussions, timelines, and deliverables related to IoT and embedded security integration
• Identify and resolve organizational or technical roadblocks to keep the pilot on track
• Provide regular status updates and recommendations to both the customer and our client’s leadership
• Support the transition from PoC to potential follow-on commercial engagement

Your Profile

• Completed degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in project management, ideally in telecommunications, IoT, semiconductor, or cybersecurity environments
• Proven track record managing cross-functional or international stakeholder groups
• Strong understanding of technical project coordination; hands-on security or embedded systems background is a plus
• An existing network within the telecommunications industry would be a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self-directed working style, and strong communication skills
• Business fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
• Willingness to travel as needed, flexibility, and resilience under shifting project demands
• Confident use of MS Office and digital project management tools
• Availability for a part-time or freelance engagement, with flexible time commitment
